CBS 60 Minutes reports on ‘Lithium Valley’

I’m pleased to share a CBS 60 Minutes reports on ‘Lithium Valley.’

The show’s award-winning reporter Bill Whitaker, visited CTR earlier this year, and it was a pleasure to speak with him at length about CTR’s progress. Bill was, in fact, the first person to see lithium recovery from our geothermal brine resource!

Watched by millions across the U.S. on Sunday evening and with over 300,000 views on the 60 Minutes YouTube channel in just one day, this report has sparked positive interest in the sustainable production of critical minerals to power our electric future.

With a total resource capacity to produce 300,000 tonnes of battery-grade lithium products per year, CTR’s Hell’s Kitchen project is by far the largest and most sustainable lithium and power development on the planet today.

I would also like to congratulate the team at EnergySource on their plans to deliver 20,000 tonnes of lithium per year from their resource.

‘Lithium Valley’ is an essential critical minerals region for the United States and offers a new chapter of prosperity for the underserved communities of Imperial County.

I want to thank Bill, Sara, and the whole team from 60 Minutes for shining their considerable light here.

Onwards and upwards!
