Controlled Thermal Resources (US) Inc. is a  geothermal development corporation that is developing a utility scale renewable energy project located at the Salton Sea, Southern California, USA.  CTR has adopted a risk-averse approach to development to drive down levelized cost of electricity.

CTR has secured a site with high resources and mineral rights, with plans for development over multiple stages. Stage One power plant will have a nameplate capacity of 280MWg.

CTR is working towards the incorporation of minerals extraction from the geothermal brine.  The geothermal brine in the Salton Sea Geothermal field contains an abundance of minerals in solution.
